Overview

Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal. The whole city falls under the UNESCO world heritage site. Kathmandu valley treasures numerous ancient temples and monuments. Kathmandu has become the city of temples and home to gods and goddesses. The stories of god and demon artistically carved into the stones and woods of the temple show the reflection of Nepalese history and culture. Kathmandu has been a fusion of Hindu and Tibetan cultures since 600BC. The city is well known for its medieval architecture developed by different dynasties dating back the centuries.

Kathmandu Tour gives a close look at the country with visits to a lot of world heritage sites in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur, which are the whole urban communities inside the Kathmandu Valley. The tour not only presents the rich culture of Nepalese yet, in addition, but it also takes you back in time when gazing at the architecture of cultural heritages. On this tour, we will also visit Nagarkot, a town on the slopes of Bhaktapur, which is a perfect place for a stunning mountain view in the north.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

You will be received at Kathmandu airport by our representative holding your nameplate. After the formal meeting, you will drive to the Hotel. There is an option of familiarization walk to the old Kathmandu in the suburb of the tourist center of Thamel.

Day 2 : Kathmandu sightseeing

Come down to the Hotel restaurant for breakfast. Your tour guide will be introduced. He will guide you through the Heritage Sites of Kathmandu. An easy, relaxing day in a comfortable ride with a local guide will uncover a totally different perspective of Kathmandu. Sightseeing Points – Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa & Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Day 3 : Bhaktapur and Nagarkot tour

After breakfast, we will drive to Bhaktapur, which is 18 km (45 mins) from Kathmandu. Bhaktapur is known as 'The Living Museum' as it still retains its medieval fragrance. We will have lunch in Bhaktapur and then drive to Nagarkot (18 km). Nagarkot is a hill station overlooking Himalayan peaks at a distance and lush valleys on either side.
