The 16-days trek begins from Lukla and extends to beautiful Gokyo valley, the land of magnificent lakes and leads to popular Chola Pass. The trek is a perfect adventure in Khumbu region as trekkers get to explore several landmarks with breathtaking sights of Mt. Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu, Amadablam, Nuptse, Pumori and so on. Everest Base Camp via Gokyo lakes and Chola Pass is a lifetime journey along the culturally rich Sherpa villages, famous Tengboche monastery and naturally rich Sagarmatha National Park. The interesting sight of famous Khumbu icefall along the trails of Mount Everest is another major highlight of the trek.
This trek is a great adventure for trekkers who love challenges in exploring remote trails in the Himalayas. The trek demands patient walk and ideal acclimatization to ensure successful trip to Everest Base Camp via Gokyo Lake and Chola Pass. you arrive at Tribhuwan International Airpot. Glacier Nepal treks representative welcome you at the airport and take you to the hotel by privet vehicle. After a short rest, You will meet the guide at our office. you may have some questions about the trekking he will give you answer the question. Overnight at the hotel.
It’s about 35 min flight from Kathmandu or 20 min flight from Manthali. You will meet our staff at Lukla airport. you have breakfast at Lukla. Now we are ready to start our trek. It is downhill until thadekoshi you will see the beautiful view of mt. Kusum khankaru. now we walk next Dudh Kosi river up to phakding. Overnight at phakding
After breakfast, we start trek before reach banker you can see the beautiful view of mt Thamserku. Today we enter Sagarmatha ( Everest Nepali name) national park. After crossing several times suspension bridge we climb up we will see the first view of Mt. Everest. If you get lucky you may see red panda before reaching Namche bazar. Overnight at Namche bazar
Namche bazar is a gateway to Everest and the biggest village in this region. We hike to Everest view hotel to acclimatization and to see the spectacular view of mt Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam Nupse and many other peaks. after heading back to Namche you can also visit the Sagarmatha national park head office, sherpa museum, and market, some café show movie about Everest and sherpa’s. overnight at Namche bazaar.
today we walk to almost flat about two hours, during the flat walk we will see magnificent view of Mt Everest, Amadablam , Lhotse , Nupse and many more mountain after that we ascent to Mongla from mongla we will see beautiful view of Thamserku and Kantega than descent to photse tanga trail through the rhododendron forest climb up beside the Dudh khosi until Dole . stay over night at Dole
After the breakfast we climb up during the climb we will see 6th highest mountain Cho-ou (8201m). we walk narrow sandy way beside the dudh kosi river passing the luza village. keep walk on your pace do not walk fast or slow. Than final ascent to Machhermo. Today we are quite high so we can visit to health post at Machhermo for altitude sickness lecture. Stay overnight at Machhermo
today we trek to Gokyo, after the first ascent we walk narrow trail and reach rocky climb up and we pass the Dodh kosi river just before the Ngazumpa glacier. Than we pass through longpongo , Raboche Tsho and Gokyo (Dudh Pokhari) before we reaching the gokyo. You can free walk to the lake its next to your teahouse . stay overnight at gokyo
We hike early morning to Gokyo RI (viewpoint). It is few hours climb up from the top we will see magnificent views of Mt. Everest, Lhoste, Cho-ou, Ngozumpa Kang, Gyachung Khang, Pumari, Nupse, Makalu, Cholatse, Tabuche , Kangtega, Thamserku, Kusum Kanguru and Gokyo lake and Ngozumpa glacier largest glacier of Nepal. After get back to gokyo we walk pass the ngazumpa glacier, we walk a few hours over the glacier then reach Thagnak stay overnight at Thagnak.
today we start early in the morning. We ascent First few hours then final part is rocky and steep up at the pass we will have another excellent view of Mt Everest , Amadablam and many more other high mountain. After the short break we walk down on glacier and rocky trail. Then gradual descent enjoying the beautiful view of chola lake and periche valley than we arrive to Dzongla. Stay overnight at Dzongla
today is short is easy day compare to last few day, we trek to over the Chola lake and walking beside the Khumbu glacier highest glacier in the world, enjoing the beautiful view of Pumari, Nupse, Amadablam . now are we are approaching to Labuche . stay overnight at labuche
Today is one most important day of Everest base camp trek. Heading to gorapshep and Everest base camp beside the khumbu glacier all day long above 5000 is must be quite difficult for most of the trekkers. From the Everest base camp, you can see the only top of the mt. Everest, Khumbu icefall and other mountains. After spending some time at base camp we return to gorepshep. Overnight at gorapshep .
Today we wake up very early in the morning hike to kalapathar, it takes a couple of hours to reach the top. Now you will see the sunrise and spectacular view of Mt.Everest, nupse , pumari , amadablam, thamserku , tabuche and khumbu glacier, after some time we walk back to Gorakshep . after having breakfast long day trek down to panbuche. Overnight at panbuche.
after having breakfast we walk down to isma river, after crossing a suspension bridge we walk through the alpine forest to dibuche then climb up to tangbuche. We visit the tanbuche monastery. also known as Dawa Choling Gompa is the largest gompa in the Everest region. now the trail is zigzag descent to Phungitanga. Ascent to kenjoma and get back to Namche bazar. Overnight at Namche bazar.
today is the last day of the trekking, it steep downhill until dudh kosi river. Passing couple of suspension bridge we exit Sagarmatha national park. Keep walking down to thadekosi, this is lowest point of the Everest base camp trek. than ascent to lukla. Overnight at lukla
after having breakfast, fly back Kathmandu or manthali. It take 5 hour drive from manthali to Kathmandu. Take you to the hotel. After shower you can visit around Thamel for shopping. We have a farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural dance. Overnight at hotel.
This is your final day in Nepal. Glacier Nepal treks representative will drop you to Tribhuwan international airport by privet vehicle. Home sweet home.
